OLD BOOKS update (again)

 I'm almost done.

I have the flu at the moment though, so I've not been stitching recently. Did a RAT test yesterday and it was negative, and will be doing another on Saturday (which is 4 days after the first), just to be sure.

I finally caved, and signed up to BritBoxTV as they have a very affordable deal going just now - $2 for 2 months. So I'm watching Dr Who right from the very first Doctor (William Hartnell) onwards. I've also been rewatching Life On Mars 😁

OLD BOOKS Update

I lost my 15 year old dalmatian recently, so I took some time away from stitching to deal with his loss.

Here is the current update for my Cross Eyed Cricket NON-FREEBIE "Old Books":

NON-FREE STITCHING

So it's been awhile, I guess.

I haven't been doing a lot of stitching these past couple of years. My Dad died in May 2019, and I've been busy dealing with everything he left behind, plus keeping his legacy going.

Recently I started clearing and reorganising my craft room, wondering whether I should just pack up my craft stuff into boxes and put it all into storage or not, but I do find cross stitch to be very theraputic, so I am giving it another go.

I have many finishes I keep finding that were done over the last 20 years, so I will upload those as I find them, but currently I am working on my first ever Cross Eyed Cricket design. It's a relatively old design now (probably 1990s, early 2000s?), and is a sampler. I'm doing it for an old friend whose birthday is coming up mid April.

Here is where I am at just now. I will post another update in a few days (I hope!)

Stitching Mo-Jo

My internet provider cut me off three months ago in a bid to force me to upgrade to a different sort of connection here at home, and then did absolutely nothing to provide me with any kind of internet service in the interim. As a result, I went to a different internet provider, who, while still taking a month to get their act into gear, assures me that I should have some sort of regular internet connection as of the 4th of July. Yay for me.

As a result of the stress caused by having NO internet here except for the small amount of data I get as part of my mobile phone plan, and also due to my father having terminal bowel cancer, I've done very little stitching this year, save for the three or four Prairie Schooler ornaments that I have managed to post.

I will try to do better. I need SOMETHING to keep my mind from my troubles, afterall.... :(
