Finished projects and some unfinished ones

With it coming up to Christmas, I thought it about time to add some scans of Christmas decorations that I've stitched. Some are completed, others have a little bit to go but they aren't that far from finishing.

So here goes.

1. NON-FREEBIE - Santa

This guy has hung on my bathroom door each Christmas for a few years now. I think I stitched him the Christmas of 2010, when my Mum first got sick, but I have no idea who the designer is, though it came from a french book called "Rouge".

2. NON-FREEBIE - Jeanette Crews #801 - Omni-Book Of Christmas (1993)

I stitched this one many years ago for a very dear friend of mine, who had just moved to the country. It was well appreciated, but it was before the days of digital cameras, so the photo isn't the best, sorry.

This JOY decoration I have stitched before, but I chose to stitch it again for myself. I still have the rest of the gold to go and then it just needs making up, and it will be done.

3. NON-FREEBIE - "Christmas Cross Stitch" (hardcover book) by Claire Crompton:

This one I made a few years ago for my boyfriend on the other side of the pond....

And this one I made for Christmas this year, for the same boyfriend. It's since been blanket stitched around the edges (much harder than you would believe), and had a green felt backing and black hanger added. He loved both decorations.

I've decided to revise my Freebie Year, to include some kits and small things I've been stitching as well. Primarily I will try and do freebies (certainly there will be at least one freebie a month), but I'm also trying to get through a backlog of WIPs as well as mini kits that just seem to accumulate. But mostly it will be freebies...

(So much for sticking to my guns!)
